First Meetings...[Lars, Elise, Antonio, Lovi]

Lars sat on one of the sofa's in the exchange student common room, he was silently reading in peace. He had managed to avoid his dorm mates and his sister today and he had hoped it would stay that way. As much as he loved his sister there was times when he needed peace and quiet, as for his dorm mates...Well they just drove him nuts sometimes.

His sister would try and get him to stop doing work all the time and meet new people, but he really wasn't much for meeting others that was her strong point. He much rather be left alone reading or tending to gardens.

Turning the page of his novel he tuned out the rest of the room as he lost himself in his own little world, he never even noticed when other students entered or exited the room.

The foreign exchange common room-an as of yet unexplored territory. Antonio had been meaning to pay the place a visit for some time, but there would always be some teacher to question or some interesting person to talk to in the hufflepuff common room and it would be shoved to the back of his mind with any other number of things that he never got around to on a daily basis.

His houses common area seemed to be deserted today. The normally crowded space containing only a handful of students, all of whom were busy at work. Obviously this was a sign. Hardly a minute was spent there before the Spanish student had turned on his heel and begun making his way towards the other place.

This common room was considerably more lively than the other, students milling about and speaking in various languages. Eventually he managed to find a piece of furniture with an empty space and he made his way over to the couch, casting a bright smile in the direction of the two students who he happened to be sharing it with before turning to survey the rest of the people around them.

The foreign exchange room used to be such a nice quiet place to work in, since most of the exchange students simply wanted to hang out with the other people in their houses instead of actually getting to know all of the other students who were in the exact same situation. But now, now there was almost always people in here. It was kind of annoying.

Lovino sighed as even more people came in, kind of tempted to leave. There were just so many people, and it was crowded, and it was just plain terrible. But he had been here first, before most of the people in here, so Lovino felt that he didn't have to leave to get the peace and quiet that he wanted, other people would have to leave. Except that kind of logic never worked.

Sighing again and curling up on his chair, he looked over at the door as it once again opened. At least Elise was one of the people coming in this time; it was always a good thing to see one of the pretty girls that he had been flirting with. They made time pass so quickly, and it was easier to ignore annoyances when they were around.

But then more men came in and she ended up sandwiched between two guys and Lovino was getting the feeling that today was just not going to be his day, not in the slightest. Scowling, he went back to his book and flipped through it, his eyes sliding over the words. He wasn't going to retain any of the information he got out of the book right now, none at all.

Lars looked up from his book when he felt a weight sit down beside him, he mentally groaned inside when he saw it was his sister. He knew his peace and quiet was over the moment she sat down.

" Ja? " He studied her face for a moment to make sure she was not up to something " Is there something you wanted Zus? " he never could be too sure with Elise.

He was about to say something else when two others came into the room, he sighed knowing that the common room was about to get loud and lively. He could see a student he had seen in the hallways before Lovino was it? that came and sit himself on the could beside his sister, and the other a Hufflepuff he had seen at the sorting but didn't know his name.

Her smile didn’t falter as he turned to look at her. If anything, it grew a bit bigger. “Nothing in particular~,” She answered innocently. “You just looked like you could use some company,” Nothing was further than the truth. As she had seen him sitting there, it had been hard to miss the disturb-me-and-I-will-end-you vibes that he was giving off. She didn’t know if he was aware of doing that. It seemed tiring to her, keeping that attitude up. She found it much easier and relaxing to be open and welcome distractions into her life. Distractions were just new opportunities in disguise. That’s what she liked to think at least.

Someone else entered the room and Elise shifted a bit to make place for her fellow Hufflepuff. She’d seen him around in their common room sometime, but hadn’t had the chance to talk to him yet. Well, what better moment to change that? “Hi,” She gave him a friendly smile.

Elise took this moment to take a glance around the common room. After glancing in before and spotting her brother, she had just headed straight over. She hadn’t really looked around to see if there was someone else she knew yet. And sure enough, the moment she looked around she spotted Lovino sitting in a chair not far away. Now he fitted into the ‘a distraction is an opportunity’ category. If she hadn’t sat with him, she probably wouldn’t have met him. And she would’ve hated to miss an opportunity to talk with someone who liked potions as well. There weren’t that many people she knew that did, after all.

He looked busy, his face buried in a book, just like her brother before. She smiled and gave him a small wave when she thought he was glancing in her direction. For some reason she had less qualms with disturbing her brother when he was studying than someone else. So if Lovino really was too busy for a chat, he could easily ignore her small gesture.
