The short, blonde boy hurried inside his new common room, thanking the teacher he'd had to have help him find his way. One good thing about looking like a first year was Raivis didn't get made fun of for being lost in the halls...He'd yet to memorize the labyrinth that was Hogwarts. It was much too big for his liking; he already missed his old school. Raivis glanced around the common room, a few yellow banners were hung up, and while it wasn't his favourite colour, it wasn't bad. The furnishings were nice, cozy; a few students were sitting around inside. It certainly wasn't inhospitable. Look more, he saw groups of round looking doors across the walls; they probably led to the dorm rooms.

But...which one was Raivis'? Did it matter? What if he walked in on someone changing? Ugh...

Raivis stood in the doorway looking lost, wanting to flag someone down to help him, preferably someone who knew the place better than he, but too scared to actually talk to any of them. Raivis put his empty hands in his pockets nervously(apparently, his stuff had been delivered to his room already...house elves? It would have been nice if they'd told him with room), wishing he had one of his books to hide in. I should ask someone...they all look really tall though...what if they get mad? Ahg, he though, taking a few timid steps inside.

Antonio frowned, staring down onto the tomato plant in between his stretched out legs. He was seated by the window, in the spot where the sunlight was pouring into. What was wrong with his precious plant? It didn't look like it was doing all too well. The leaves were still green, but they looked droopier and not as vibrant as usual, and the plant should be flowering by now. Had he not given it enough water? Reaching into the pot, he pushed a finger into the soil and pouted. No, the soil was still damp.

Sighing, he adjusted the bamboo supports and carefully got up. He might as well give it more water, and perhaps more fertilizer too. He looked up, noticing a short boy stand awkwardly by the entrance of the dorm. He looked really scared, or intimidated, Antonio couldn't tell.

Smiling, the Spaniard went up to the boy. "Hi!" He greeted with genuine enthusiasm. "Are you a new first-year?"

Liona was on her way to the Hufflepuff common room. She saw few other students while walking in long corridors, but overall school felt a bit empty after the concourse in the Great hall. She had to admit the food was better what she expected. At least it was tasty to be English food. Though Italian cuisine was of course much better. The Italian wandered around the place near the kitchen, place where the common room was supposed to be. And yes, she wandered because she wanted to see the school, not because she was lost or anyhing, dammit!

Brunette saw many painting in the walls, and somehow they gave her a feeling that someone was watching her. It felt uncomfortable. She could swear the paintings were staring straight at her, following her with their painted eyes. She was supposed to find a painting of a fruitbowl, which was an entrance to Hufflepuff basement. Seriously, how could it be so hard, just to find one painting! Liona started to feel annoyed, and kicked a wall in front of her. Of course it didn't help anything, she just hurt her own feet. 'Dammit...'

Next thing the girl did was to look up. And there it was, painting of a fruitbowl. In that certain wall she just kicked. 'Of well...' Painting let Liona to go in. Unfortunately, entrance of the room was blocked by two boys. One was small and blond, and another was tall and brunette, and somewhat tanned. They didn't seem to notice Liona, so she let out a quiet, yet annoyed cough.

"Excuse me, you block the entrance." said girl, and waited them to move.

Matthew was pleased. Very pleased. He couldn't emphasise just how pleased he was feeling right now. His bag was full of different sweet foods he'd just claimed from the kitchens (The houselves were more than happy to obligue and gave him multitudes, they were really nice). Now he was returning to the common room, a bowl full of 'Boiled sweets', as the houselves called them, as well as a good few marshmallows! He was eagerly eating them while he left the kitchen. But then he stopped. What was that out of the corner of his eye? It was... He turned his head. And holy crap; a spider, a huge spider, larger than any spider he'd seen! (Not that he'd seen many). That thing looked bigger than his hand!

Matthew let out a piercing scream and barrelled towards his common room. The problem was, there were three people in the middle of the entrance, preventing Matthew from getting in. This didn't stop his feet though, he continued to run automatically, not wanting to stop and be eaten by the spider or, or, something. Which meant that while he was thinking of this horrific scenario, he crashed right into the girl at the back, causing somewhat of a domino-effect, sending her to the ground, hitting the boy in front of them, who went headfirst into the boy he was talking to. To top it all off, his bowl of delicious sugary goodness scattered all over the common room floor.

On the plus side, the spider was nowhere to be found.

Raivis stood, fidgeting a little, still glancing around the room, before someone finally came around and spoke to him. W-wait, first year? The guy sounded cheerful and greeted him with a bright smile, and by all means looked like the friendliest person in the world, so Raivis couldn't very well think he looked like a bully or mean. He even had a pleasant sounding accent(Raivis wasn't sure he'd heard it before, he'd never left Latvia, pretty much scared of everything outside his home town and old school). But...crap, should he let the brunette keep on thinking he was a first year, or correct him? Well, it could come back to bite him if he lied...

"N-ne, I-I'm a third year, I j-just g-got here though..." he murmured, eyes wandering to the floor, "C-could you help me-"

Raivis was cut off by the entrance opening and a girl, a particularly annoyed sounding girl, informing the two of them they were in the way. ...Ah, I am in the way, I don't know where to go though! And she could have asked nicer! he thought, already uttering out a(probably unintelligible) apology and starting to move. Really! Raivis scolded himself for having hesitated in the doorway; all he wanted to do was find his dorm, curl up in bed, and hide in the blankets. But, before he'd even gotten one step, he heard a terrified scream, and jumped nearly out of his skin. It seemed like a millisecond before someone came colliding into the girl, who consequentially was thrown into him. Raivis let out a mangled yelp and crashed into the boy who'd come to talk to him, not even noticing the barrage of sweets that were spilled everywhere. What'd happened?! Someone had screamed, what if there'd been a murder or something? Yes, murder was the first thing Raivis' mind went to, so he didn't dare try to turn and see what'd run into them, fearing it might be a bloody ax-wand serial killer.

Er...what?

He had been listening intently to the first - or was it third? - year student speak. It had taken up all of his attention since the boy spoke so quietly. Only when he stopped talking did Antonio realize that there was some other girl asking them to quit blocking the doorway. He was just about to move out of the way and apologize when there came a shrill scream of utter terror. A moment later and Antonio found himself flat on the ground with a near-crushing weight on top of him. "Eh?"

...Was this...Was this the all-magical tackle hug that he had been told about?!

Delighted, Antonio started to laugh, although he sounded a little strained for air. He reached up with his arms and tried his best to hug the people that had fallen on top of him. "I didn't know you guys loved me so much~"

This definitely made up for his not-so-healthy tomato plant.

'What the heck just happened?'

Liona had just stood there, and waited the boys to move. And the next moment she heard an piercing scream, like someone was being killed. Then the girl was pushed to the floor, and right now she was laying there, in middle of a pile of people.

She had hurt her back, and overall the position wasn't very nice. It has been stressful day all along, and now this? The Italian really started to be pissed off. And what now? It felt like someone started to hug them right now. Was the guy laughing?

"What the hell you think you're doing?!" yelled Liona, being really, really annoyed. She started to flail her hands and feet, anything to get out from the bunch of people.

"Let me go, bastards!"

Matthew scrabbled up as quickly as he'd fallen down. The spider hadn't come back, so he was certain he could relax about that, but now he'd succeeded in pushing down three people! At the same time! Luckily though, one of them didn't seem too miffed- He was laughing and hugging the other two! Matthew wasn't sure whether to be relieved or embarrassed, because he wasn't sure what exactly the boy was laughing about- was he laughing at Matthew? Or laughing because of the situation? Or to diffuse the situation? Matthew shook his head. Now that his senses had returned to him, however, he hastily offered a hand to the girl he'd crashed into in order to help her up, muttering apology after apology in his quiet little voice. He attempted to explain what happened but it came out in a stutter of "Kitchen" and "Spider" without any intelligible sentences being formed.

Eventually he gave up on that and tried to get past them and through the entrance without treading on anyone, looking mournfully at all the food he'd dropped. "Oh goodness... This is going to take some cleaning up... I... God, I'm such a screw up...." His lip wobbled and he had to bite it to keep any more noises escaping. This was a situation he was happy to blend in with the wall to avoid. Perhaps there was a secret passage he could hide in until they'd all left and he would be able to clean up his mess in peace...?

...There didn't seem to be a killer on the loose after all, Raivis soon figured out through extensive thought process. W-was this person...hugging him? Raivis let out a little whine of discomfort, being a tad squished beneath the girl that'd landed on him, and because of the hug. Well, the boy he'd landed on didn't sound nearly as panicked as Raivis did; he even laughed! Raivis dared open his eyes a bit, squirming a bit to try and look around now. A blond boy he hadn't met yet stood up behind their rather awkward pile. He seemed a little freaked out over what happen(then again, most people would have been freaked out after that, even if the odd boy Raivis had landed on didn't seem to be). Raivis could have sworn he heard the blond boy mumble something about the kitchen and...and spiders. Now Raivis wasn't afraid spiders; with all the gardening he'd done in his life, it was one of those things you just had to get over. But...that didn't mean he liked them crawling around on him. He squirmed a bit harder, trying to escape the pile.

"S-sorry...!" he mumbled to the people he was sandwiched between, trying not to kick or smack them in his attempt to flee the deathly pile. He was now watching out for any creepy crawlies, really hoping he didn't roll out and land on one(thought, that was still better than a murderer).
