No One Throws a Party like a Slytherin [[Thread #1]Lovino, Maria, Mei]

It wasn't often Lovino decided to stay in the common room when there were other people around, mostly because other people were beyond annoying and he didn't want to deal with them. However, today was different. Some one had decided that it was time for the Slytherins to have a party, and the common room had been transformed to actually function as party central. And there was alcohol. Lots of it really, and even some muggle brands were available. It was truly amazing.

Of course it meant that almost all of the Slytherins were in the common room and thus it was entirely too crowded in here, but the atmosphere of it all made it so much better. Lovino - despite his rather sour outlook on life - enjoyed things like this; it was so easy to get lost in the crowd and just enjoy the experience.

He worked his way through the crowd of people towards the refreshment table, grabbing a bottle of whatever to drink while he waited for the real fun to begin. If he was lucky there would be a beautiful woman or two somewhere in the crowd who wanted to have a little fun while not going too far. Lovino settled in to watch his housemates dance and destroy the common room.

Whoever had the bright idea of throwing a party with a bunch of juveniles--with alcohol--Maria could kiss them. Hell, she could (and would) jump into bed with them for the muggle brands of beer on the refreshments table. Usually she'd have to mail her connections to get her favorite brand of beer into Hogwarts. If the wizards could stop soaking in their glory they could make use of some of the inventions made by muggles, she tsked.

"Move--awesomeness coming zhrough!" she roughly pushed her way down the crowd and snagged the bottle of Heineken sitting on the table. Ah~ nothing like a good beer. Turning around and acting as a sort of watch dog for the section of the refreshments table which held Heineken, she leaned on the table. Maria could have easily gotten on the dance floor but beer was more important than dancing.

Taking her chances, she grabbed en extra beer before heading for the chairs which were, thankfully, unoccupied. Maria sat down and shifted to find a good position before pulling her legs up. She would enjoy some dancing after her beer.

Alcohol, booze, whatever you called it, just wasn't really Mei's thing. The bitter taste of it, didn't appeal to her, though of course, there was the fact that she'd only had one or two sips of that one popular brand in Taiwan...Heineken or something like that. She did however, marvel at the amount that was brought in. Whoever had come up with this party certainly knew how to appeal to the general populace. Secretly though, she worried a bit for the young first and second years that were likely mingling along in the crowded room. But all that aside, even if alcohol wasn't her thing, there would be plenty of opportunities to snap a few pictures, and crowds were just fun to be in, in general! It was rare that so many Slytherins would come together, most in their little groups, or studying by themselves, rather reclusive.

Unfortunately for her, she wasn't exactly the best dancer on the floor, though she could manage not to make a complete fool of herself. Grabbing what was labeled as a "non-alcoholic" drink, (though really, it probably is) and a few refreshments, before sitting down in a chair, somewhat close to a pretty silver-haired girl. Taking a sip of the drink, she made a face of disgust at the unpleasant taste of alcohol. Not wanting to waste it though, she quickly downed it, which probably wasn't the best idea.

"Aguamenti," she muttered, and drank the water that spewed out quickly, in hopes of neutralizing some of the alcohol. Eating some of the refreshments she grabbed, she prayed that she wouldn't throw up, as she was prone to do. Looking at the crowd, she couldn't help but feel somewhat happy that they were having a good time, even with the alcohol excess.

Lovino blinked and looked up as he heard a very familiar voice shouting at people. He watched Maria push her way to the refreshment table and grab herself one of the beers before storming over to a table to sit and watch the crowd. Smirking to himself, he moved so a pretty Asian girl could get something to drink and went over to sit next to Maria. "Ciao bella." He said, leaning towards her slightly.

He looked over the crowd again and frowned at the first and second years going through it, trying to act like they were old enough to be here. He had thought that the prefects had put a spell on the stairs that only let people over the age of 14 down into the common room. At least, that was what he had heard was going to happen. Lovino twitched slightly as he saw an eleven year old grab a beer off of the table and try to chug, only to end up nearly choking. He was going to have to hurt people in the morning.

He glanced to the side as the pretty Asian girl sat down near them, watching her slightly as he waited for Maria to notice his presence. She was pretty... a quieter pretty than Maria, not as loud or outspoken but still very pretty. Lovino smirked and almost laughed at the look on her face as she drank, taking this to be her first time actually drinking alcohol. He raised an eyebrow at the next move she pulled, wondering if she really thought water would fix the alcohol. Only time would fix it.

Before she decided to greet the Italian that had just moved closer, she took a moment to chuckle at the Asian girl next to her. Water really wasn't going to help. At worst, the girl would probably have a horrible hangover tomorrow. Really, if the hangover part was removed from the aftermaths of beer, Maria would have drank more than her tolerance allowed (that being said, her tolerance was pretty high for a female of her age). However, even with the hangover she would still enjoy herself. Only a fool would dare challenge her to a drinking contest.

"Guten tag, Lovi!" she greeted, giving a wry grin as she turned to face him. Maria took another moment to tilt her head back slightly before taking another swig. The empty bottle was then thrown with perfect accuracy into the nearest trash bin to join its brethren. Good thing she had brought an extra bottle, Maria mused, immediately popping open that one.

"Enjoying yourself?" she asked, pulling her legs up to sit cross-legged. She placed her elbow on her knee and her chin in her hand before leaning a tiny bit closer to Lovino. "Because I sure am~" It would be the apocalypse if Maria didn't enjoy a party with beer.

Okay, so the water didn't really help, and she groaned. She noticed the pretty silver-haired girl, and an...Italian? boy chuckling/smirking at her respectively. If she didn't feel so utterly crappy right now, she might've done something, instead she returned back to eating the remaining tidbits on her plate, and watched people get drunker by the second. Some of the first and second years that did somehow sneak into this were starting to succumb to the alcohol, and hurl all over the place. Normally, she'd go up, and attempt to help them, but seeing the sight of vomit made her want to do it herself. Instead, she focused on whether she could find something she could take a few pictures of, or distract her.

There was a loud noise, and over by where the dancing going on, quite the string of curses was left out. Quickly, she got up out of her chair, and scurried over to where everything was taking place. Seeing a pretty burly boy, she could only imagine that alcohol and stupidity had led him to actually attempting a strip tease. It was good black-mail material though, and she accio'd over her camera, and started to take pictures that would maybe get her a few favors later.

Lovino watched the Asian girl go over and take pictures of the fat ass who had let the alcohol get the better of him, shaking his head at the silly fool before letting his eyes wander over the crowd. All of those poor youngings... they were going to feel terrible in the morning. And the commom room would smell terrible.

He looked over at Maria just in time to see her throw an empty beer bottle in to the trash and land it perfectly. He gave her some applause, mostly sarcastic in nature. He took on a small smirk and shrugged. "I am enjoying myself, yes. And I'm glad that you're enjoying yourself." His smirk grew as she leaned closer, enjoying the proximity. He had already decided that at least some point before he graduates, he was going to spend some private time with Maria if she let him. Which, given the signs, he was rather hopeful about his chances.

"So, Miss Maria, do you want to dance later, when you finish your drinks?" He wondered, letting his eyes wander again as he waited for her reply. His eyes landed on the pretty Asian again and he wondered slightly as to what her name was.
